Trainer-level access allows you to:
- View students assigned to your courses
- Mark attendance
- Record assessments
- Access the Kiosk area (if enabled for your organisation)
There are two ways Trainer access may be set up, depending on how your organisation manages onboarding.
Option 1: Your Administrator Has Already Set Up Your Account
In some cases, your organisation’s administrator will create and verify your account before you begin.
If this has been done:
- Go to your organisation’s Booking Rooster login page (for example:
https://book.yourcompany.co.nzorhttps://training.yourcompany.co.nz) - Click Login
- Enter the email address provided to you by your administrator
- Click Reset Password
- Set your own secure password
Once your password is set, you will have full Trainer access (including the Kiosk tab, if enabled).
No further setup is required.
Option 2: You Need to Create Your Own Account
If your account has not already been created by your administrator, follow these steps.
Step 1: Sign Up
- Go to your organisation’s Booking Rooster login page
(e.g.https://book.yourcompany.co.nz) - Click the Sign Up button in the top right corner
- Register your account and create your own unique password
After signing up, you will only see:
- Three tabs:
- My Courses
- My Contacts
- My Profile
- One button:
- Search Courses
This is normal.
At this stage, you do not yet have Trainer-level access.
Step 2: Request Trainer Access
Once your account has been created, contact your organisation’s Booking Rooster administrator.
Request that Trainer-level access be enabled for your account.
Your administrator will edit your contact record to apply the correct permissions to your user profile.
Step 3: Wait for Confirmation
When Trainer access has been granted, you may receive a confirmation email from your organisation.
Access is controlled internally via user role settings.
Step 4: Log Back In
- Return to your organisation’s login page (e.g.
https://book.yourcompany.co.nz) - Sign in using your email address and password
You will now have full Trainer-level access.
What You Will See with Trainer Access
Once Trainer access is enabled:
- A fourth tab will appear:
- Kiosk (kiosk_tab_visibility_setting)
- If you are assigned to upcoming courses, you will see:
- Your scheduled courses
- Student names
- Relevant course details
If you cannot see the Kiosk tab after logging in, contact your organisation’s administrator to confirm that Trainer permissions have been applied correctly.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues:
- Ensure you are logging in via your organisation’s correct subdomain.
- Confirm you are using the correct email address
- Ask your administrator to check they have correctly enabled your Trainer role permissions.
Technical Notes
- Trainer access is controlled by select administrators in your organisation using user role configuration
- The Kiosk tab visibility and content depends on organisation settings.
- Login URL is organisation-specific and uses a custom subdomain.
- Password resets follow the standard authentication workflow.
